After completing my A-Levels I began my apprenticeship at Duncan & Toplis and have now completed my AAT Level 3 qualification and am currently working towards my Level 4. The accounting knowledge I have gained and will build upon during my AAT studies, both at college and in the workplace, is good preparation for progressing onto ACA studies to become a Chartered Accountant.
Duncan & Toplis stood out to me amongst other accounting practices because they are a large firm who are recognised across the county. I was attracted to working here because they are forward thinking, focus on working with family run businesses and offer good benefits such as flexible working hours.
Working at Duncan & Toplis positively impacts my life in many ways but most importantly they have enrolled me on the apprenticeship programme which has helped me to develop my career and they continually support me to progress through my studies and work based objectives. They actively promote a healthy work life balance and team culture with flexibility and out of hours team events.
