Thinking about a career in accountancy?

Duncan & Toplis can offer you the chance to explore the world of accountancy and finance whilst fine tuning your skills in an outstanding firm with strong links to the local business community.

Association of Accounting Technicians qualification (AAT)

The AAT provides a good grounding in accountancy and finance and is usually studied at a local college or professional training establishment (Kaplan Nottingham) on either day release or evening study. When joining Duncan & Toplis straight from school students normally only study levels 3 & 4, each level taking between 12 and 15 months to complete. Completion of the AAT Level 4 is the final stage and you would then become an Accounts Technician.

The AAT qualification is a standalone fully transferable entry level accounting qualification and some Accounts Technicians have no desire to progress onto further professional study.

We’re looking for people like you!

Duncan & Toplis have all the benefits of a large independent practice but we’re small and friendly enough to recognise your individual commitment and contribution. To find out more about our early career accounting opportunities simply contact us.

Please note that our AAT programme recruitment begins in March with an expected start date of August, and studying starting in September. Typical entry requirements: 96 + UCAS points, GCSE Maths and English Grade A/B.
