Assistant Tax Manager

We have an opportunity for a qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Tax Manager, providing advice to clients while supporting the team in the delivery of their work and ensuring that operational objectives are met.

Joining us as an Assistant Tax Manager, you will be ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified or ATT qualified with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience. You will have good communication skills that enable you to work effectively in collaboration with other team members to scope out client requirements and ensure that assignments are carried out efficiently within specified budget(s) as well as actively participating in pitching for new business opportunities and developing tender documents.

It would be advantageous to have the following knowledge and skills, but we welcome all applicants to join our talented team:

  • Self-motivated for technical knowledge and personal development
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365

What does this role involve?

As a Tax Assistant Manager, you will be a key member of the team delivering UK corporate tax support and advice to clients, ensuring client relationship managers are well informed and receive regular updates on project progress, along with identifying and escalating any issues as necessary. This will include ad hoc projects for research and development tax credits, capital allowances, share schemes, due diligence, and corporate restructuring. You will write technical reports of findings and review those prepared by other team members, providing timely feedback on their work. You will be responsible for the overall quality of individual client assignments and production of a complete product whilst ensuring invoices are raised in a timely manner.

In addition, you will ensure that everyone in your team is equipped with the skills they need to deliver the best possible client experience, coupled with clear career opportunities and a supportive work environment in which talents can flourish. You will conduct performance reviews and set clear objectives, maintaining fairness, equality, diversity, and inclusivity.

Working alongside our team of tax experts, there is a great opportunity to share your experience and expertise whilst also expanding your own technical knowledge. Study for the CTA qualification will be fully supported for those who have not yet achieved it but have the ambition to do so.
