Receptionist vacancy, Grantham, Lincolnshire

We are looking for an individual to be responsible for providing a professional front of house and administrative service on a full time six month fixed term contract.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Greet office visitors and inform relevant individuals of their arrival.

  • Uphold workplace security by maintaining visitor logs.

  • Answer and forward telephone calls via a switchboard in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist with external communications, including typing of correspondence and assisting with incoming and outgoing post.

  • Provide general office administrative assistance, including but not limited to, photocopying, scanning, filing, and making up files.

  • Fully support office directors and managers, including diary management where required.

  • Ensure reception has adequate cover at all times, this may include arranging cover with other team members for holidays and absences.

  • Be proactive in taking on additional duties as required in line with skills and experience.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office software.

  • Have previous experience working in a reception, administrative or client facing role with use of a telephone switchboard.

  • Be enthusiastic and proactive with a polite and helpful personality and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.

  • Have a strong attention to detail and organisational skills; working methodically and accurately as part of a team.

All of the above are preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
