Senior IT Technician

The Senior IT Technician is responsible for incident/change/request resolution, project work and acting as an escalation point for 2nd line support.

The Key responsibilities of the Senior IT Technician include:

  1. Providing technical support for incident/change/request resolution and project work.

  2. Working closely with the team to ensure that the client’s needs are met, through the use of KPIs and SLAs.

  3. Managing their own workload through the help desk ticketing system, with minimal supervision.

  4. Acting as a confident point of escalation for 2nd line requests with a desire to pursue resolutions to difficult issues prior to escalating to 3rd line.

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Have a proven background in technical support.

  2. Be enthusiastic and career driven, looking for role progression.

  3. Have experience working with a wide variety of technologies in a fast-paced environment, particularly supporting Microsoft based networks, Office365, Cisco networks, virtualisation technologies and telephony systems.
