An exciting opportunity to join our forward thinking accountancy firm at our newest and growing office in Loughborough as part of their receptionist/admin team. Duncan & Toplis has recently been winning multiple awards including the ICAEW large accountancy firm of the year for the East Midlands.
Whilst experience is preferable it is not essential to be considered for the role as training and mentoring will be provided. The successful candidate will however demonstrate the skills and attitude to use and embrace both existing and new software/technology as the company continues to innovate, adopt and implement the latest software and technologies to keep ahead of our competition and meet the needs of our clients, our team and our business.
Just as importantly they will excel in their attitude towards customer service when greeting clients and taking calls for the office. They will be an essential, important and valued part of our client experience.
They will support the team with any administrative tasks enabling them to focus on providing the best possible service to our clients. They will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining current Practice Management and CRM (Client Relationship Management) software. In this regard organisation, thoroughness, attention to detail and efficiency is incredibly important as well as a proactive attitude towards ensuring tasks assigned are completed. The right candidate will support the directors and the team in optimising systems and processes. Although based at our Loughborough office and supporting the team there Duncan & Toplis has a one firm approach to its 11 offices and therefore opportunities for development and to contribute to the wider firm and its vision are there for the successful candidate.
Of course in addition to the above the role will also include other general and ad-hoc (more traditional) admin/office responsibilities as set out in the attached appendix giving the opportunity of gaining broad experience/development within the professional services industry and for one the most well respected firms in the region. - Assisting with the distribution of incoming and outgoing post including filing within the paperless office system
- Sending and receiving documents through our secure portal system
- Dealing with cash, cheques and BACS payments received and petty cash.
- Typing of letters and reports
- Assisting with the organisation and marketing and office events
- Maintaining stocks of office supplies and stationery
- Other routine and ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities i.e weekly fire alarm tests
